'Despite the use of one tone throughout her drawings Beths ability to draw in perspectives ensures each piece has depth. The spaces she depicts are intricate and highly detailed creating a sense of lush extravagance. Theses
boudoir like rooms are inhabited with only female characters drawn with a simple line to inevitably
highlight them as pristine white compared to the busy blue backdrops. There's a sensuality to Beths work, the nude women depicted never appear sexualised and rather command the space with a relaxed state of power.
These reclining figures are somewhat reminiscent of Greek gods depicted
in temples and yet their
is what gives them such power'.
